Still grinning like an idiot from last week’s epic filming of the sitcom pilot with the legendary Ed Byrne.  And every single one of the cast and crew are brilliant. It was awesome fun to make and we hope that shows in the final product. Not sure when it will be shown but we will announce it here as soon as we know.

BBC3 – URGENT RELEASE

Audience required for brand new BBC THREE comedy pilot

The Adventures of Daniel is a brand new comedy pilot for BBC Three starring Scottish teenage stand-up sensation – Daniel Sloss – and will mix Sloss’ own stand-up with sketches and narrative charting his experiences as a 19-year-old living with his parents in Kirkcaldy in Scotland.

Sloss’s comedy career kicked off when he was just 16 and since then he’s gone from strength to strength – last year he sold out his solo Edinburgh Fringe season and made his national television stand-up debut on Channel 4’s Paul O’Grady show.

The show features live stand-up from Daniel and we are looking for a vibrant audience to be part of this exciting new programme.

The show will be recorded in the last week of June.  Venue details soon to be confirmed.

To obtain tickets e-mail: television.audience@googlemail.com.

Or call: 0141 334 7186.

Please include a contact telephone number.

Applicants should be 18yrs and over.

I can’t believe it – BBC3 are letting me work with two of the funniest guys in the business, Tim Allsop and Stewart Williams (who wrote Plus One), to make my own pilot: “The Adventures of Daniel“! Totally unbelievably awesome! It’s going to be a mix of my stand-up material and some sketches intermingled with a plotline based very loosely on my life, my family and my girlfriend.  This basically means I get to create a show in which I tell the world just how weird and annoying all these people actually are … and pretend it’s all fiction. It’s genius!

And now to answer all the questions you are all desperate to ask: -

When is it on telly?
I have no idea
Who else is in it?
I have no idea
Will it be funnier than “The Big Top”?
Oh come on! Stubbing your toe is funnier than The Big Top.
Will your mum be played by Susan Boyle?
I have no idea. Let’s hope not. Susan has had enough trauma already.
Are you excited?
Am I excited? Is there a queue at Greggs? Yes, I can’t wait.

Links to my debut on Ozzie TV show Good News Week. Yes, it was as much fun as it looks!

Despite the best attempts of a complete ashhole (volcanic type) I finally made it to the Sydney Comedy Festival! And oh my word is it not the most fantastic place on earth. I may never come home.

Gigging every night and appearing on Good News Week on Ozzie telly on Monday May 3rd. I am also doing Teenage Kicks down there for one of the last times before I chuck out the old and bring in the new for this year’s Edinburgh Fringe show – My Generation.

Couple of nice bits in the local press too:

Plus, if you missed it, I made a few comments on Dermot O’Leary’s BBC3 specials with David Cameron and … that Lib Dem bloke. You can catch them on BBC iplayer:

And I MIGHT be on the one with Gordon Brown next Wednesday (28th May).

If you really want to find out what I am up to more regularly, then befriend me on facebook, the fanpage is best for the latest news (and there is some BIG news coming up). You can also follow me on Twitter – DannyS25

I have been so busy I have been rubbish at updating the site. Apologies. But, as a teenager, my attention span is equivalent to that of a meerkat on expresso.

Check out the gig list – I am off to the Sydney Comedy Festival next month. Can’t wait for some sunshine and beaches. And babes. I have been promised that Australia has babes by the bucketload. I have my bucket ready.

I do have exciting news to announce soon but, for the moment, we must keep schtum. Tell no-one. But it will be exciting!
