I am just finished recording my first TV appearance for the Paul O’Grady Show. Tune in at 5pm this Friday (25th Sep 2009) to Channel 4.

I even got a nodding Buster -SCORE!

THE PRESS HAVE SAID:

“He’s charming, self-deprecating and genuinely funny. If he continues to work with the passion, intelligence and energy that he’s started his career with, there’s absolutely no reason why he can’t become a huge star. So log the name: Daniel Sloss. If I were a betting man, I’d back him all the way.”
TIME OUT, London

“Daniel Sloss playfully mocks comedy’s middle-aged majority – deflating all their comic reminiscences with a dry, understated wit”
CHORTLE

2009 Edinburgh Festival Fringe – TEENAGE KICKS:
“This 18-year-old Fifer is a precocious talent. He comes on stage to young person’s music and talks about all that squirmy teenage stuff, yet is still comprehensible to people over 21. There are plenty of teenagers in the audience. There are parents with the teenagers, possibly hoping for some insight into their demon spawn. Sloss, however, is no average teenager. By any standards – not just the patronising, didn’t-he-do-well-for-a-young-‘un standards by which it is difficult not to judge his performance – he is a confident, engaging stand-up with a big bag of material on puberty, sex education and Grand Theft Auto… He should go far.”
THE SCOTSMAN

“A high-energy dose of coming-of-age laughs.”
INDEPENDENT ON SUNDAY

“Sloss reveals an excellently crafted set, laughing along as he purges the inner demons of a teenager’s internal monologue like a Catholic confession. Sloss also possesses an excellent delivery, with a maturity that belongs firmly in an age bracket he is so loathe to join. A genuine fringe highlight”
THE STAGE

“A comedian with great presence and confidence”
THREE WEEKS

“He is very young. But then again, he is very good too, and extremely funny. Sloss is a breath of fresh air… Another surprising fact about Sloss is that, at his tender age of 18, he can handle hecklers much better than many comedians out there…. He might be young, and he still has a long way to go in life, but for the time being, he is bloody fantastic.”
HAIRLINE

“Daniel Sloss is the name on everyone’s lips… he’s tipped to go a long way”
COMEDY CENTRAL

“It’s a smart subversion of the relationship between youth and sexuality, and betrays a consistent intelligence in his writing… It’s an assured act and… one that shows a young man capitalising on his lack of years with aplomb.”
FEST

“Deeply impressive… His comedy is as universal as anyone could hope… The laugh count is high and gag construction pleasing… Future glory will be assured”
THE LIST

“Armed with a confident and engaging stage presence, he tackles topics such as parental hypocrisy, teenage violence, and the cringe-inducing but always reliable comedy subject of adolescent sex.”
SCOTLAND ON SUNDAY

“Nothing short of hysterical…A stunning show of observational humour.”
SCOTTISH SUNDAY EXPRESS

I will be heading down to London with my “Teenage Kicks” show for 5 days at the Soho Theatre in London. Please come along and say “hi!”

I had a BELTER of a festival! Thanks to all 1400+ of you lovely people who came to see me waffle on stage. Sold out every night – what more could I possibly want? At the moment I actually want to lie down in a darkened room for a month and sleep it all off.

If you want a feel of just how much fun I had, check out the interview by the lovely guys at Laughing Gas:
